And of course, all Damen can focus on is that Laurent wasn’t in the proper attire, for it. ![]() I wouldn’t mind a short about something between Nikandros and Laurent that was mentioned in this book. It’s an epilogue, but it just leaves me wanting to read more shorts about Damen and Laurent leading their peaceful lives in blissful happiness. This story is sweet, hilarious, and even a little bit sad. There’s a lot of reflection from Damen’s POV about what role they played in each other’s lives from the start of Captive Prince. “The Summer Palace” is really just the loveliest story about Damen and Laurent after the events in Kings Rising. I never did read Drarry fics or read any yaoi manga, so this series was a really intense way to start it all off. It’s really the series that got me reading m/m novels. I realize that I never did move my Captive Prince reviews over to my blog from Goodreads, but that’s only because there’s really nothing of note in my reviews besides me rambling (more than usual) about my love for the books and the characters.
